Some Enchanted Evening:
The Songs of Rogers & Hammerstein

Some Enchanted Evening is a celebration of songs that have become a part of our lives. this popular collection of compositions places five performers in a theatrical setting, first backstage where songs are sung as a personal interplay, and then onstage performing to their live audience. Hits include favorite songs from Oklahoma, south Pacific, The Sound of Music, Cinderella, Carousel and more. Starring Jim Kocher as Billy and Andre Burkeum as Will. Also starring, Dianne Kocher, Kristina Stamper and Elyssa Alexander. Directed by Nancy O'Bryan and our special Music Director, Darrel Lingenfelter.This musical revue is an opportunity that allows the songs to be the "stars and the lyrics to tell the story. Come enjoy, reminisce and relive the excitement of this dynamic musical!

Performances begin at 7:30pm Thursday - Saturday evenings and at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoons. Tickets are on sale now, and may be purchased at the Playhouse Merced Box Office, located at 452 West Main Street in downtown Merced. Reservations may also be made over the phone with a credit card by calling 209/725-TKTS. Tickets cost $19 for adults, $16 for students and seniors with a valid ID. Group sales and special show buy-outs are still available.

Opening on April 18th, the Playhouse Merced presents Biloxi Blues, a war-time comedy with a great deal of charm. Written by Neil Simon, this semi-autobiographical account depicts a young enlisted man facing various challenges as he enters boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi. Join him as he experiences love, lust, and hundreds of push-ups. Filled with tons of laughter and few surprises, Biloxi Blues offers a snapshot into the lives and experiences of young World War II soldiers that you won’t want to miss.

Featuring a delightful mix of seasoned Playhouse performers and community members from Merced and beyond, Biloxi Blues promises to be an exciting evening of entertainment and fun. Come join us, and we may even have you do a few push-ups.
