Merced Christian School is a ministry of Valley Baptist Church.
Our school opened in 1974. We started out
with 48 students in one room. The school has grown throughout
the years and now has approximately 200 students from preschool
through the eighth grade.
Our purpose is to provide the best education and
creative opportunities possible for each child in a
Christ-centered environment. Our teachers are carefully selected
and we provide a quality program that is both challenging
and stimulating. Our school is a charter
member of the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).
Our combined full and part-time teachers posses ten Bachelor's
Degrees, three Master's Degrees, and have over 137 years of
teaching experience in
Christian education. Our school currently seeking ACSI Accreditation.
Each year our teachers attend the ACSI convention to broaden
their ideas and widen their scope
of teaching abilities so that they can provide your child
with the best quality education.

CLASSES OFFERED:

The Kindergarten program teaches
children how to read phonetically. The curriculum includes several
small readers, workbooks, and phonics cards. Other subjects
include Bible, Art, Music, and Computers. (Children
should be 5 years old by September 1st, 2005 to enterKindergarten).
First through fifth grades use Christ-Centered A BEKA curriculum
as their basecurriculum. We suppliment this with Bob Jones and
Saxon Math for certain subjects.
Jr High base curriculum is Bob Jones, with A BEKA, Saxon, and
other curriculum supplemented for certain subjests. |
