Good news for Merced College students! Several computer stations are now available for students and prospective students to complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. These computers are located in the Administration Building across from the Career/Transfer Center and will be available for student use during normal Student Services hours (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM and on Wednesdays from 8 AM to 7 PM). Assistance from a financial aid staff member will available during the following hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 AM to Noon and 1 PM to 4 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM to noon and 1 PM to 7 PM.

Students can also access Merced College’s Webadvisor from these computers. Webadvisor (http://webadvisor.mccd.edu) is the college’s web site where students can obtain much of their college information, including grades and financial aid status. Webadvisor is designed to function as an electronic Student Services Center.

Merced College Spring Midsession Classes Available

Merced College is offering several mid-session classes for spring 2006. All sections of classes can be found at the Merced College WebAdvisor site, and continuing students are urged to use this convenient form of 24-hour registration: http://webadvisor.mccd.edu. New students can begin the registration process by calling the Merced College switchboard at 384-6000. Classes have varied beginning and ending dates and the following classes have openings:

Allied Health, Animal Science, Business, Child Development, Computer Studies, Criminal Justice, Drama, Electronics, Guidance, Health, History, Management, Music, Nursing, Nutrition, Philosophy, Physical Education, Plant Science, and Real Estate.
