Membership:
Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or/on active duty in any location between August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. A copy of your DD-214 must be submitted with your membership application. Our founding principle is “Never again shall one generation of veterans abandon another” our banner reads “In Service to America”. We welcome All Vietnam era veterans and are chartered by the U.S. Congress as a non-profit c (19) veteran’s organization.

Community Assistance:
Chapter 691 is the community friendly chapter "We can not change the past, we can however, help ourselves and others make changes for a better future". We are the primary veterans’ organization for the Merced County Veterans Memorials and serve our community through outreach programs for the needy veteran, their family and our hospitalized veterans.
